Ireleth

This is a small fishery of not much over three acres lying adjacent to the minor road that leads west from Ireleth village to Poaka Beck Reservoir. The fishing is controlled by Barrow Angling Club who stock the water with both rainbow and brown trout. It is a pleasant enough little fishery although somewhat overshadowed by the (very) nearby wind farm. The club has planted numerous trees to provide screening and shelter but it will be some years yet before the benefits finally accrue. Until then a windless day is probably a good option.

Ireleth is a fairly productive water with some good hatches and the sort of place that is handy for a couple of hours in the evening.

Fishing is reserved for members and their guests.
