Pennington Reservoir

Pennington Reservoir is managed as a rainbow trout fishery by Barrow Angling Club. This eighteen acre water is perhaps the most popular of the clubs fisheries not least because it affords a little more shelter from the prevailing wind than its more exposed neighbours. The reservoir is set in a steep sided valley above Pennington village and overlooks the full extent of Morecambe Bay to the south.

The club stocks regularly with rainbows around the pound and a quarter mark and the odd larger fish. Small brown trout are also present. Fly hatches are fairly typical of an upland fishery and the sedge hatch in particular can be excellent.

Fishing is reserved for members and their guests.
