The wide, sweeping bay from Dubmill Point down to Crosscanonby gives shallow ground fishing for plaice, flounder, dabs, codling, whiting, dogfish and quite a few bass. Locals favour a south-westerly wind coinciding with high water which stirs up good surf and brings the fish in. Generally speaking the first two hours of the flood and theĀ two hours before high tide are the best periods. Rag, lug and crab shuld all catch plenty of fish.
Take care here and observe all the saftey precautions. The Cumbrian coast has a big tidal range and this area floods quickly
