This mark lies at the head of the Leven estuary and provides easily accessible, mainly autumn and winter fishing for flounder. Its popularity perhaps stems as much from the proximity of a warm car on a cold day as the quality of the fishing itself. Nevertheless on a good tide the mark can give a couple of hours of enjoyable sport and plenty to take home for freezer. Virtually all standard baits will produce results when the flatties are around in number.
The fishing tends to be affected by the volumes of freshwater coming down the Leven and Crake and is usually at its best during periods of lower flow.
Greenodd benefits from a very convenient car park and the luxury of toilets. Fishing starts just over the low wall from the car park and there will be days when you can even give that a miss.
